Description

Pace will use the ICE funds to develop a Command Center which will utilize technologies to more aggressively monitor/oversee the delivery of services by the twelve different regional ADA/dial-a-ride contract providers. Having this center will give Pace a technological advantage in undertaking additional oversight to improve service and efficiency. Pace also is installing Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology for trip notifications, web-based technology for trip cancellations and confirmations, and Opti-Run technology to maximize the efficiency of the run structures. Description

Description

The proposed schedule will separate the Beverly Branch from Main Line service on both Saturday and Sunday as is currently done in peak periods, saving sixteen minutes for a ride from LaSalle Street to Joliet. Funding will provide improved service to special events and fast growing non-work travel markets.

Description

Description

Sheltered bike parking at up to five CTA and five Metra stations.

Current Activities

In May 2012 CDOT completed the installation of bicycle facilities at CTA's Red Line 95th Street, Orange Line Western Avenue, the Red Line Loyola station and the Red Line Howard Street station and Metra's Clybourn Union Pacific Northwest Line station and the Metra Electric District 55th, 56th-57th stations.

Description

The project will use funds to acquire and install 12 Ventra Vending machines at high volume transfer and boarding locations throughout our service area. Description

Addition of three round trips on Saturdays to Metra's SouthWest Service. Currently there is no Saturday service on this line.

Current Activities

Metra implemented this service March 21, 2009. ICE funds for this project were were exhausted in March 2011. In its last year of funding the project averaged 1,421 trips per month. Metra has since continued to provide the service.

Description

Express bus services provided by Pace on the I-55 corridor will be enhanced by: 1) The service frequency of Pace Route 855 would be increased and service extended to Plainfield, and 2) New service from Plainfield, Bolingbrook and Burr Ridge to West Loop Medical Center would be introduced.

Current Activities

Pace implemented the expanded service for Route 855 and the new Route 755 on November 30, 2009. ICE funds were exhausted in mid-March 2011. In its last year of funding the project averaged 6,402 trips per month. Pace is continuing to provide the service with its own funds.
