Improvements include: bus stops, bus, and taxi access lanes, sheltered waiting areas, pedestrian walkways, shared vehicle lanes, kiss and ride, bicycle parking, and landscape improvements. Funding: Current ActivitiesThe Oakton Street Station opened in April 2012. The village completed the the Kiss'n'Ride with two bus turnouts, and a sidewalk funded by the ICE grant. The final phase of the project consisting of streetscaping and landscaping was completed in September 2013. Oakton Station served 23,225 passengers in November 2013.
