Description

The Ride DuPage to Work is a service of the Ride DuPage system designed to enable persons with disabilities greater opportunities to obtain and maintain employment through more affordable transportation.

Current Activities

DuPage Transportation to Work, initially funded with the 2006 program, was implemented March 1, 2008. DuPage County became the grantee for the project in 2010. Prior to that Pace served as the project grantee. The service provided 2,489 trips in May 2013.

This project is complete.

Description

CTF Illinois continues to provides transportation support to children and adults with diverse disabilities.  The door-to-door transportation services are vital to allow persons enrolled at CTF greater access to their daily supports including vocational, community employment, educational, fine arts, and advocacy. 

Current Activities

The RTA Board approved funding for this project on August 19, 2021.  

The operating service provided 5,819 trips in June 2022.

Description

This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The service expanded its boundaries in December 2012 to include Waconda and Fremont Townships. Lake County implemented the service January 11, 2010.

Current Activities

The service provided 447 trips in June 2018.

Description

The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in six townships primarily for persons with disabilities and older adults in the western portion of Lake County. The townships, in cooperation with the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee, and Lake County sponsor the project.

Current Activities

In May 2022, Lake County combined and expanded the Central and West projects into a countywide service.

Description

This project is an expansion of Routes 600 Northwest Express and 610 Prairie Stone Express. With this proposal Route 600 will be bi-directional during peak period weekdays to serve reverse riders going to work and school. Route 610 will also add reverse peak trips on weekdays between Rosemont and a new park-n-ride facility planned for the Prairie Stone Complex in Hoffman Estates.

Current Activities

Bus routes 600 and 610 began providing bi-directional service on August 19, 2013. In addition, a new commuter Park-n-Ride is available at the Prairie Stone complex helping to serve reverse commuters utilizing Route 610. Route 600 provided 8,869 trips and Route 610 provided 12,118 trips in September 2014.

Description

The vehicles and operations funded by this program will be used for demand responsive paratransit service to provide door-to-door service for populations of the disabled, low income, and senior populations in the urban portions of Kendall County. The project is designed to be the first phase of a countywide general public transportation system.

The operating service provided 1,644 trips in April 2013. This project is complete.

Description

This project is a volunteer driver program that supplements the services offered by Hanover Township¿s Dial-A-Bus program. Volunteer drivers utilizing their own vehicles provide door-to-door service for older adults. Local share will be provided with transportation development credits, formerly known as toll credits
