Description

Clearbrook continues to provide transportation services to more than 8,000 children & adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.  Clients are transported to work, school, day programs, medical appointments, community recreation, and other activities. 

Current Activities

The RTA Board approved funding for this project on August 19, 2021.   The operating service provided 17,041 trips in November 2022.

Description

The vehicles and operations funded by this program will be used for demand responsive paratransit service to provide door-to-door service for populations of the disabled, low income, and senior populations in the urban portions of Kendall County. The project is designed to be the first phase of a countywide general public transportation system.

Description

This project provides transportation support to children and adults with diverse disabilities. The door to door transportation supports are a vital service that allows persons enrolled at CTF greater access to their daily supports including vocational, community employment, educational, fine arts, and advocacy.

Description

The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in Lake County to persons with disabilities and older adults residing in central Lake County. Five municipalities and Lake County sponsor the project.

Current Activities

In May 2022, Lake County combined and expanded the Central and West projects into a countywide service.

Description

This project will fund the installation of electronic visual sign systems at 11 non-key ADA Metra stations to facilitate greater mobility for the hearing impaired as well as the general population. The signs will provide real time information about Metra train service

Current Activities

Metra executed a grant for this project with the Federal Transit Administration on June 24, 2013. This grant complements an ICE grant also awarded for the project. Metra expects to put this project out to bid this quarter.

Description

This service from 9 am to 2 pm weekdays will operate between 16th/Cicero and Cermak/Indiana helping low income individuals obtain improved access to employment opportunities including two hospitals.

Current Activities: CTA implemented the service on September 8, 2009. The service provided 93,977 trips in the month of June 2014. Approximately 31,600 of the trips are estimated to be attributable to the service expansion.

Description

Expansion of this route from its present terminal at 71st St. & Pulaski to the Ford Center Shopping Center improves access to major retail and industrial establishments that provide job opportunities for low income individuals.

Current Activities

CTA implemented the service on September 6, 2009. The service provided 315,015 trips in June 2014 with an estimated 7,200 trips attributable to the expanded service.

This project continues to operate as part of the Ride DuPage program. Seven local governments sponsor the service.
