Description

The Ride DuPage to Work is a service of the Ride DuPage system designed to enable persons with disabilities greater opportunities to obtain and maintain employment through more affordable transportation.

Current Activities

DuPage Transportation to Work, initially funded with the 2006 program, was implemented March 1, 2008. DuPage County became the grantee for the project in 2010. Prior to that Pace served as the project grantee. The service provided 2,457 trips in August 2015.

This project is complete.

Description

Description

This dial-a-ride service expanded from a two day a week operation to five days a week. The service provides general purpose transportation within Washington Township and medical trips beyond the Township. In addition to providing increased service for the disabled and senior populations, eligible participants are able to obtain same day service.

Funds were transferred to Will County managed project. This project is complete.

Description

This project provides transportation services to more than 8,000 children & adults with Intellectual/developmental disabilities. Clients are transported to work, school, day programs, medical appointments, community recreation, and other activities.

Description

Expansion of this route from its present terminal at 71st St. & Pulaski to the Ford Center Shopping Center improves access to major retail and industrial establishments that provide job opportunities for low income individuals.

Current Activities

CTA implemented the service on September 6, 2009. The service provided 315,015 trips in June 2014 with an estimated 7,200 trips attributable to the expanded service.

Description

The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in six townships primarily for persons with disabilities and older adults in the western portion of Lake County. The townships, in cooperation with the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee, and Lake County sponsor the project.

Current Activities

In May 2022, Lake County combined and expanded the Central and West projects into a countywide service.

Description

This program provides transportation and mobility management services for persons with disabilities and older adults residing in eastern Will County townships. The current participants of the project are: Crete Township, Frankfort Township, Monee Township, Peotone Township, Washington Township, and Will Township.

Description

Little City continues to provide transportation to seniors and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, who are enrolled with Little City to places of employment, community-based programs, Special Olympics regional competitions, and medical appointments. 

Current Activities

The RTA Board approved funding for this project on August 19, 2021.  The operating project provided 6,756 trips in January 2023.

Description

This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The service expanded its boundaries in December 2012 to include Waconda and Fremont Townships. Lake County implemented the service January 11, 2010.

The operating service provided 588 trips in April 2022.

Description

Extension of weekend service from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am between Jefferson Park and Berwyn Red Line station providing access to major medical center and retail establishments for low income individuals and the disabled.

Current Activities

CTA does not have sufficient funds to meet federal local matching requirements at this time. The project cannot be implemented until local funds become available.
