RTAMS Capital Downloadable Dataset: Read Me

The RTAMS Capital Downloadable Dataset includes all data that is shown on RTAMS in the capital page and allows users to manipulate the data on their own. There are five tabs included. A brief bit of info is provided for each tab. Feel free to contract RTA with any questions.

Priority Projects Tab: Details all priority projects identified by the Service Boards (CTA, Metra and Pace)
Column A: RTA Parent Project Code is a unique identifier and is used to link to the projects in the Projects tab
Column B: Priority Project Name
Column C: Service Board Name
Column D: Asset Category
Column E: Priority Project Description
Column F: 2022 10-year funding need as identified by the Service Board
Projects Tab: Details all the projects that have been identified in the capital program as well as projects in past programs and projects that are being managed by RTA’s PMO team
Column A: Project number used by the service board
Column B: Project Name
Column C: Project Code is a unique identifier and is used to link the project to the budget in the budget tab
Column D: Service Board
Column E: RTA Parent Project Code is a unique identifier and is used to link to the projects to their parents
Column F: Mode (bus, rail or systemwide)
Column G: Description of the project
Column H: Asset Category
Column I: Previous Funding beginning in 2021
Column J: Strategic Goal 1 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column K: Strategic Goal 2 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column L: Strategic Goal 3 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column M: Core Requirement 1 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column N: Core Requirement 2 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column O: Core Requirement 3 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column P: Core Requirement 4 (use the Goals Req tab to determine the goal)
Column Q: If the project in the RTA PMO program (Note columns R to X are only entered if Column Q = Y)
Column R: Project Budget tracked by the PMO program
Column S: Budget Status
Column T: Schedule Status
Column U: Project Start Date
Column V: Project End Date
Column W: Text description of latest project activities
Column X: Is the project complete

Budget Tab: Details the 5-year capital program budget for each project including funding sources in detail
Column B: Project code is tied to the project code from the project tab
Column C: Funding Source Code – Use the funding sources tab to decode
Column C: Budget period shown in year and month
Column D: amount in dollars
Goals Reqs Tab: Translates the goals and requirements from columns J through P of the projects tab
Funding Sources Tab: Translates the funding source code into the actual funding source name and funding type
