Description

This project will add various pedestrian improvements to the Broadway Avenue corridor, north of the Melrose Park Metra Station, which is served by Pace Route 303. Pace Routes 309 and 313 also intersect the corridor at Lake Street. Improvements that include high-visibility crosswalks and decorative-marked intersections will be installed at three intersections with one of the intersections also receiving curb bump-outs and relocation of a bus stop along with bus shelters at Main and Broadway. Bike parking will also be added at the Metra station.

Description

The vehicles and operations funded by this program will be used for demand responsive paratransit service to provide door-to-door service for populations of the disabled, low income, and senior populations in the urban portions of Kendall County. The project is designed to be the first phase of a countywide general public transportation system.

Description

Funding for this project will complete Phase II engineering and construction of pedestrian access improvements along US Rte. 14, IL Route. 173, Marengo Road, and Ayer Street. The project includes new sidewalks, ADA improvements, crosswalks, and a Pace Bus shelter. These improvements will better connect residents to the Harvard Metra Station and the Pace Bus Route 808.

Description

This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The service expanded its boundaries in December 2012 to include Waconda and Fremont Townships. Lake County implemented the service January 11, 2010.

Trinity Services provides transportation service to individuals with disabilities in Cook, Grundy, and Will counties. Transportation will be provided for trips to developmental training centers, shopping, doctor's visits, volunteer opportunities and work.
