Description

The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in six townships primarily for persons with disabilities and older adults in the western portion of Lake County. The townships, in cooperation with the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee, and Lake County sponsor the project.

Description

This project will install 10,712 tactile signs at all bus stop poles where CTA public information signs are currently posted to provide information about the exact bus stop location to customers who are blind or have visual or cognitive disabilities. CTA has a total 10,727 bus stops of which 10,712 have public information signs posted.

Description

This program provides transportation and mobility management services for persons with disabilities and older adults residing in eastern Will County townships. The current participants of the project are: Crete Township, Frankfort Township, Monee Township, Peotone Township, Washington Township, and Will Township.

Description

The vehicles and operations funded by this program will be used for demand responsive paratransit service to provide door-to-door service for populations of the disabled, low income, and senior populations in the urban portions of Kendall County. The project is designed to be the first phase of a countywide general public transportation system.

Description

This project, by initially integrating the services of four dial-a-ride projects, now serves a geographic area covering seven communities, providing transportation services primarily for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

This project will continue to integrate and coordinate dial-a-ride services currently being provided throughout McHenry County. Dial-a-ride service for seniors and people with disabilities is also provided throughout Greenwood, Dorr, Grafton, Nunda, McHenry, Marengo and Riley Townships. Three service extensions are included to serve the Fox Lake Metra Station, Valley-Hi nursing home/McHenry County Division of Transportation, and the Park and Ride lot in the Village of Lake in the Hills.

Description

This project, as part of the Ride DuPage program provides seniors and individuals with disabilities increased employment opportunities by providing them with transportation to jobs in and outside of their own town and at times that may extend beyond traditional work hours. Seven local governments sponsor the service: City of Naperville, Naperville Township, Lisle Township, Wheatland Township, Village of Glen Ellyn, City of Wheaton, and Milton Township.

Description

Lake County combined three separate dial-a-ride services, operating in the Central Lake/Shields township area, into one service. The project initially calls for Shields Township to operate separately while the Fremont and Central Lake partners (Fremont Township, Libertyville Township, Villages of Libertyville and Mundelein) are combined. The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in Lake County to seniors and individuals with disabilities residing in Central Lake County. Five municipalities and Lake County sponsor the project.
