Lake County combined three separate dial-a-ride services, operating in the Central Lake/Shields township area, into one service. The project initially calls for Shields Township to operate separately while the Fremont and Central Lake partners (Fremont Township, Libertyville Township, Villages of Libertyville and Mundelein) are combined. The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in Lake County to seniors and individuals with disabilities residing in Central Lake County. Five municipalities and Lake County sponsor the project. Current Activities

In May 2022, Lake County combined and expanded the Central and West projects into a countywide service. Ride Lake County is a borderless countywide paratransit service providing seniors (age 60 and above) and individuals with disabilities curb-to-curb transportation. The geographic service includes Lake County along with the entirety of municipalities whose city limits extend beyond the County border into Cook and McHenry County. With no limitations on the purpose of the trip the service operates Sunday through Saturday from 6:00am to 6:00pm (excluding specific holidays). Current Activities

The Ride DuPage to Work is a service of the Ride DuPage system designed to enable persons with disabilities greater opportunities to obtain and maintain employment through more affordable transportation.
Current Activities
DuPage Transportation to Work, initially funded with the 2006 program, was implemented March 1, 2008. DuPage County became the grantee for the project in 2010. Prior to that Pace served as the project grantee. The service provided 2,489 trips in May 2013.
This project is complete.

This project, as part of the Ride DuPage program provides seniors and individuals with disabilities increased employment opportunities by providing them with transportation to jobs in and outside of their own town and at times that may extend beyond traditional work hours. Seven local governments sponsor the service: City of Naperville, Naperville Township, Lisle Township, Wheatland Township, Village of Glen Ellyn, City of Wheaton, and Milton Township.

The service provided 2,445 trips in May 2018. This project is complete.

This is a new fixed route service connecting the Chicago Red Line and Logan Square Blue Line stations. There are an estimated 400-600 businesses on the route that represent employment opportunities for low-income workers. A major attraction on this route is the Anixter Center that provides training and employment for persons with severely limited mobility.
Current Activities
CTA does not have sufficient funds to meet federal local matching requirements at this time. The project cannot be implemented until local funds become available.
