This project, as part of the Ride DuPage program provides seniors and individuals with disabilities increased employment opportunities by providing them with transportation to jobs in and outside of their own town and at times that may extend beyond traditional work hours. Seven local governments sponsor the service: City of Naperville, Naperville Township, Lisle Township, Wheatland Township, Village of Glen Ellyn, City of Wheaton, and Milton Township.

The service provided 2,448 trips in September 2016. This project is complete.

The project funds improvements along St. Charles Road for 1.1 miles, from Mannheim Road to 25th Avenue, which is served by Pace Route 313 and near the Bellwood and Melrose Park Metra stations. Improvements include two bus shelter pads (Pace is providing the shelters), four benches, sidewalk connectors, crosswalks, ADA accessibility improvements, pedestrian lighting, and bicycle racks. This project will construct sidewalk infill along Golf Road and Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, near the Golf Mill Shopping center, a major transfer center for Pace. Both Golf Road and Milwaukee Avenue are principal arterials currently without complete sidewalks and the new sidewalk will vary in width between 5 and 7 feet. The section of Golf Road will complete sidewalks from Milwaukee Avenue going east and will comprise nearly 4,000 linear feet in new sidewalk. The Milwaukee Avenue sidewalk improvements will be from Golf Road going southwest and will comprise nearly 2,400 feet of sidewalk infill. A new crosswalk with pedestrian signal and push button will be also installed across Milwaukee Avenue at the Golf Mill main entrance. Current Activities

This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The service expanded its boundaries in December 2012 to include Waconda and Fremont Townships. Lake County implemented the service January 11, 2010.

The Sunrise Express is an early morning reverse commute train operating on the Metra UP North Line from Chicago to Waukegan. The service enables reverse commuters to meet 7AM work start times of north suburban employers. Other benefits include a viable suburb-to-suburb option for commuters living north of Chicago and an additional inbound train.

Current Activities
Metra implemented the project April 2, 2007. JARC funding for this project was exhausted in October 2011. In its last year of funding the project averaged 8,121 trips per month.
Metra continues to provide the service with its own funds.

In May 2022, Lake County combined and expanded the Central and West projects into a countywide service. Ride Lake County is a borderless countywide paratransit service providing seniors (age 60 and above) and individuals with disabilities curb-to-curb transportation. The geographic service includes Lake County along with the entirety of municipalities whose city limits extend beyond the County border into Cook and McHenry County. With no limitations on the purpose of the trip the service operates Sunday through Saturday from 6:00am to 6:00pm (excluding specific holidays). Current Activities
